This is a follow-up to my previous post on MK VS DC Universe, and at this point, this should matter to the comic book and movie fans as well, besides the gaming fans.
As you guys may know, as a result of The Dark Knight's ultimate success in lieu of being able to capture the right formula, DC has opted to make their future movies as dark as the history-making money machine heralded by the Batman. To that effect, the Superman franchise will be restarted and not pay any attention to Superman Returns, taking a page out of the Hulk's restart during the year. I guess they finally found the hidden recipe they've been looking for after all those years, and with great movies come movie-based games that range from sucky to mediocre. Oh, the humanity!
That being said...

I don't think superman should be made into a dark film.Unlike Ironman, Spiderman, and other superheroes, Superman is supposed to be the perfect human (who isn't human). To give him a flaw is to render his purpose void. Ironman is a drunkard, Batman is rich prick, Spiderman is a geek, Superman is just super :D
And that's still why Superman will always be the boon of DC. He's just super, and that's going to be DC's greatest obstacle, bar none. =P
Then again, it'd be cool to have Superman's powers though. You can either end world hunger and jumpstart world peace, or just sleep and see what happens to the world's wars without your intervention XP
Here's my take. Superman was conceptualized in a time when people saw the world in black and white. Back then every superhero was a boyscout, a white knight, a goody-too-shoes. Nobody killed anybody. Not even Superman. And maybe that's his flaw; we've made him to be the ultimate rolemodel that he's become too detached from our sense of humanity. Superman has become too boring, too droll, and too monotonous.
True to form, society back then was pretty innocent, and we have a lot to blame for that. World wars, the Vietnam war, and all other related wars that pretty much gave the world a negative view in the eyes of the people.
But times have changed, and most of what is being viewed as negative is now viewed in a different light, philosophies and all that jazz. I guess TMNT is the best way to put it, from the goody and light-hearted 90's cartoon to the more serious series of today. =P No one wants too much predictability these days, after all :D
